    There are certain things which a sinner must do in order to
    be saved. Peter called for the people on the birthday of the
    church to:  “Save yourselves from this untoward
    generation.”(Acts 2:40)
    Every step we take to become a Christian must be an act of
    faith. For we walk by faith and not by sight. (2nd Corinthians
    5:7)

    I. The First Step Is Hearing The truth: The Gospel
    1. Jesus commanded the apostles to preach the gospel to
    every creature.  (Mark 16:15)
    2. The Gospel is God's power unto salvation. (Romans 1:16)  
    No one can be Saved without the preaching of the gospel of
    Christ.

    II. The Second Step Is To Believe In Christ
    1. Without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that
    cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
    rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
    2.  For faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of
    God.  (Romans 10:17)

    III. The Third Step is to Repent Of Your Sins
    Repentance is the act of turning away from sin. It takes
    place in the heart of the sinner and is often called the
    change of heart and life.
    1. Jesus said repent or perish. (Luke 13:3)
    2.  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
    commandeth all men every where to repent. (Acts 17:30)

    IV. The Fourth Step Is To Confess Your Faith In Christ
    1.  The Ethiopian Eunuch said, I believed that Jesus Christ
    is the son of God. (Acts 8:37)
    2.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
    with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans
    10:10)

    V. The fifth Step Is To Be Baptized Into Christ
    1. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
    the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
    Ghost. (Matthew 28:19)
    2. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he
    that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16)


    From the study of these scriptures, we are lead to conclude
    that all who will hear the gospel:
    1. Must believe in Christ with all your heart,
    2. repent of your sins,
    3. confess your faith in Christ as the son of God,
    4. and being buried with him in baptism for the remission of
    your sins and added by the Lord to his church.
